From the beginning, Wolf, P.A. was created to meet the needs of clients who are constantly in motion.  Clients who might be in Dubai one day, London the next day, and New York the day after that.  These are also clients for whom discretion and privacy are non-negotiable, who place a premium on responsiveness, and who expect meticulous attention to detail. We work closely with private clients, their family offices, private bankers and other advisors, who rely on us to identify and mitigate risk, and to quietly, legally and ethically respond to and manage crises.

CASES AND CRISES

We are able to respond to and manage incidents affecting you, your family or your business, legally, commercially, geopolitically or reputationally.  In the past, we have responded to investigations, arrests and prosecutions in foreign jurisdictions, in addition to missing persons, international parental abductions and private family matters.

BANKING RELATIONS

To manage the compliance and reputational risks associated with certain categories of clients, including but not limited to politically exposed persons, banks conduct enhanced due diligence investigations, examining a client’s source of wealth and source of funds, any history of criminal investigations, any criminal or civil litigation, and any negative media. Evidence or indicia of bribery, corruption, kleptocracy or money laundering will be of concern. Often, however, the information the bank needs to resolve outstanding issues lies beyond the reach of the bank’s compliance department. We can help, by conducting independent due diligence investigations and self due investigations.

SELF DUE DILIGENCE INVESTIGATIONS

Reputation matters.  We conduct global self due diligence investigations and produce dossiers that help facilitate third party due diligence, identify areas for improvement or change and, in certain cases, develop strategic communications or worldwide reputation management plans.

GLOBAL COORDINATION

The problem for private clients with offices around the world, houses around the world, and the private aircraft to take them there, is that there is no single lawyer or law firm that can practice everywhere in the world. We believe the solution to that problem is coordination, making sure that what is happening in one matter, in one part of the world, does not negatively impact what is happening in another matter in another part of the world.
